Town Run Watershed

Join Us During Earth Fest

Town Run’s cleanup season is just around the corner, and we’re excited to invite the community to join us in protecting and restoring our local stream.

The season officially kicks off on May 2 during Earth Fest at Morgan’s Grove Park, a day filled with celebration, connection, and environmental action.

Join Us at Earth Fest – May 2

Celebrate spring at the annual Earth Fest and Blue Ridge Arts & Crafts Festival from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Morgan’s Grove Park. The event features local artists, live music, food vendors, environmental organizations, and a plant sale supporting the park.

Be sure to stop by the Town Run table to:

  • Play watershed pinball
  • Learn about our projects and upcoming events
  • Meet volunteers
  • Sign up for upcoming stream cleanups and if your are interested join us in the stream to remove invasive parrot feather and duck weed from Town Run.

This is a great opportunity to connect with others, learn more about the watershed, and get involved.

Stream Cleanup Season Begins

Following Earth Fest, Town Run will host monthly stream cleanups on the second Saturday of each month from June through October.

These cleanups are a hands-on way to help improve water quality, remove invasive species, and protect the habitat that supports wildlife in and around Town Run.
