Town Run Watershed

At Town Run Watershed Association, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. From cleaning up streams to planting natives, monitoring water quality, and supporting community education, each person who gives their time and energy makes a lasting difference.

Our Volunteer Spotlight highlights the individuals (and sometimes their four-legged helpers!) who are going above and beyond to protect and preserve Town Run.

We hope these stories inspire you to join in — whether it’s at a cleanup, a workshop, or simply by spreading the word about our mission.

Bob & Bowie

Meet Bob and his son, Bowie — two familiar faces at our monthly stream cleanups.

Bob has been volunteering with Town Run for over a year, and during that time, he’s become one of our most dependable helpers. Rain or shine, Bob shows up ready to work, bringing not only his dedication but also his good humor that keeps the group energized.

Bowie, his son, joins in with enthusiasm, helping wherever he can and learning firsthand the importance of caring for the watershed. Together, they make a strong team, showing the next generation how meaningful even small actions can be for our streams and community.

We’re so grateful for Bob and Bowie’s ongoing commitment to Town Run. Their example reminds us that making a difference doesn’t have to be complicated — it’s about showing up, caring, and giving what you can.
