Town Run Attends American Conservation Film Festival

Town Run Watershed Group participated in the American Conservation Film Festival, where we had the opportunity to connect with visitors, conservation organizations, and community members who share a passion for protecting our natural resources.

Throughout the event, Town Run volunteers and team members staffed an outreach table, sharing information about our watershed projects, upcoming events, and ways to get involved. Conversations with attendees helped raise awareness about the importance of local stream health while also introducing new people to opportunities for hands-on involvement in the Town Run watershed.

Building Connections

The festival provided a valuable space to engage with a wide range of individuals—from local residents to regional conservation leaders. These interactions led to meaningful conversations about:

  • Watershed protection and restoration
  • Community engagement strategies
  • Volunteer opportunities and partnerships

Connecting with others working toward similar goals helps strengthen our collective impact and opens the door for future collaboration.

Finding Inspiration Through Film

In addition to tabling, several members of the Town Run team attended film screenings throughout the festival. These films highlighted environmental challenges, innovative solutions, and stories of communities working to protect natural resources.

The experience offered fresh ideas and inspiration that can help inform and strengthen Town Run’s ongoing work in outreach, education, and restoration efforts.

Looking Ahead

Events like the American Conservation Film Festival remind us that local efforts are part of a much larger movement to protect and restore our environment. By connecting with others, sharing knowledge, and learning from new perspectives, we continue to grow our impact within the watershed and beyond.

We look forward to building on these connections and continuing to engage with the broader conservation community.
