Town Run Watershed

One Year with AmeriCorps VISTA – And More to Come

This August marks a special milestone for Town Run Watershed Association: one year of outstanding service from our AmeriCorps VISTA, Trinity Lee, who serves through the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection. Over the past year, Trinity has become an integral part of our team, bringing energy, creativity, and dedication to every project she touches.

During her first year, Trinity has:

  • Organized community outreach events that connect residents of all ages to the health and care of Town Run.

  • Developed educational materials helping to engage the next generation of watershed stewards.

  • Created promotional materials and outreach content, including flyers, social media posts, and website articles, to raise awareness about our programs, engage volunteers, and highlight the impact of our conservation and restoration projects.

  • Expanded our engagement strategies, from volunteer recruitment to social media campaigns, helping more people learn about and participate in our initiatives.

Her work has had a measurable impact on the community, from cleaner streambanks and expanded riparian buffers to more volunteers attending workshops and cleanups. Trinity’s enthusiasm for environmental stewardship inspires everyone she meets, making our programs stronger and more accessible.

We are thrilled to announce that Trinity will be continuing her service for another year. With her continued support, Town Run Watershed Association will be able to expand its efforts in education, conservation, and community engagement even further.

If you see Trinity at an event or in the community, please take a moment to say hello and thank her for her commitment. Her dedication is helping to make a lasting difference in Town Run and the surrounding watershed.
