Back Alley Garden Featured in Shepherdstown Community Club Garden Tour

Exciting news! The Town Run Back Alley Garden project will be featured in this year’s Shepherdstown Community Club Back Alley Garden Tour.

This recognition highlights the impact of a small but meaningful community space that continues to grow as a model for urban habitat restoration and watershed-friendly landscaping.

A Small Space with Big Impact

The Back Alley Garden demonstrates how even compact areas can:

  • Support pollinators and beneficial insects
  • Improve urban habitat
  • Manage stormwater and protect local waterways
  • Connect residents more closely to the Town Run watershed

Through thoughtful design and ongoing care, this space has become both a functional green infrastructure project and a place for community engagement.
