On the banks of the river at Harpers Ferry\, a federal armory was raided by abolitionist John Brown in 1859. Passing through Washington D.C. and the national monuments along the Tidal Basin\, the journey ends at George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate in Virginia. \nFilm is 50 minutes with brief presentations and audience discussion to follow. \nGeneral admission. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime\nPopcorn\, candy\, soft drinks available for purchase (no outside food or drinks please) \nThis screening of World’s Most Scenic River Journeys: The Potomac River is made possible by Potomac Riverkeeper Network and the Shepherdstown Opera House

We’ll meet on Saturday\, October 18th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the lower parking lot. \nyour boots\, gloves\, tools\, and smiles as we close out the season by planting what does belong and building community connections! \nWe’ll wrap up the planting with pizza and time to celebrate the end of a great season together.
